From wellness initiatives to community engagement, MDK is a place where people feel seen and supported.What makes MDK’s culture compelling:* Professional growth supported by regular one-on-one conversations with leaders* Flexibility and time off that prioritize real work-life balance* Volunteer Time Off that connects employees with causes they care about* Inclusive programs like our Culture Council, affinity groups, book club and View email address on click.appcast.io* A collaborative environment built on shared success and open feedback**Your Role in Action*** **Case Management**: Review case management system and take responsibility for tasks within your scope, ensuring cases are progressing in a timely manner.* **Legal Document Preparation**: Prepare, process, and review standard legal notices and pleadings.* **Service of Process**: Ensure successful service of process for assigned cases.* **Property Sales**: Assist the team with tasks related to the sale of properties.* **Hearing and Mediation Prep**: Assist with hearing preparation, scheduling, client communication, and reviewing results; manage hearings in compliance with court orders.* **Communication Coordination**: Coordinate communication between tenants, occupants, property preservation groups, and clients, particularly on eviction matters.* **Client Communication**: Handle phone calls related to eviction matters with tenants, clients, courts, and sheriffs.* **Attorney Fees**: Request attorney fees from clients.* **Client System Updates**: Update client systems as tasks are processed.* **Training Support**: Assist with the training of new team members as needed.* **MDK Culture**: Develop a thorough understanding of MDK culture and support the company’s mission and values.* **Team Support**: Support the team in meeting firm expectations and goals.* **Legal Process Familiarity**: Actively work to familiarize yourself with the entire legal process for all tasks performed by the team.## Qualifications**Your Background & Skills*** High school diploma required; Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred* Law firm experience, 2-4 years is preferred* Notary Public certification preferred* Hybrid position – in-office based training to start and transitioning to a hybrid work schedule* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)**Your Work Style**Success in this role also comes from how you approach your work and your team.
