Billing Specialist

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments and external clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions Prepare and issue accurate invoices based on contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements Review billing data for completeness and accuracy before processing Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner Collaborate with customers, operations, and finance teams to ensure billing alignment Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and billing correspondence Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations Other Requirements Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Experience working in a high-volume billing environment is a plus Willing to work over-time as needed.
