Laboratory - Medical Lab Technician

Medical Laboratory Technologist Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Job Description The Medical Laboratory Technologist will utilize their skills to perform complex tests, monitor quality control programs, and promote cost-effective testing practices. The ideal candidate will communicate technical information effectively, demonstrate a commitment to patient care, and practice safe laboratory techniques. This role requires independent work and the ability to function within a team setting. Responsibilities Perform, interpret, and correlate clinical lab tests following department protocols. Prepare and analyze patient specimens for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Maintain efficient lab operations and assist in quality control procedures. Demonstrate high proficiency in blood banking and phlebotomy. Utilize Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiological, and Blood Bank experience in daily duties. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure A minimum of 3 years of current MLT, MT, or MLS experience. Minimum 3 months of previous travel experience is required. ASCP, AMT, or AAB Certification is mandatory; NCCT or NHA certifications are not accepted. High proficiency in phlebotomy is required. Experience with Tube Method for Blood Bank is necessary.
