Guest Services Agent The Courtyard by Marriott Birmingham Downtown at UAB is located in downtown Birmingham, near University of Alabama Hospital. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Guest Services Agent to provide warm, exceptional customer service and assist guests throughout their stay. The Agent will welcome guests, escort them to the front desk, provide local information, and ensure a pleasant experience at all times. Responsibilities Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest Interact with all guests; welcome each guest to our hotel If guests arrive by motor vehicle, open their door and provide hospitality Escort and orient guests to the front desk for check‑in Park and retrieve guests’ vehicles as requested Upon check‑in, escort guests and luggage to their room, explaining amenities and fun facts Work with other attendants to ensure each guest has a personalized experience and always open the door for guests Assist lobby attendant in keeping entrance area clean and organized Be the difference with all guests and employees, surpassing the norm Qualifications At least one year in a customer service role with high guest interaction Valid driver’s license with no major infractions for 6 months Hospitality industry experience is a plus Ability to solve problems when they arise Strong teamwork ability (must work in a team environment) Pleasant and helpful personality Must be able to work a full shift standing, moving between valet lot and hotel areas Strong desire to impact others Outgoing and engaging personality Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting Ability to stand for the duration of shift Available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays Compensation $15.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and location.
