Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on both adult and pediatric patients with varying degrees of emergencies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.Utilize appropriate treatment protocols for critical conditions, including strokes and cardiovascular issues.Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Electronic Health Records (notably Epic).Participate in departmental procedures and adhere to established protocols for patient care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting required.Proficiency in managing general emergency situations, including adult and pediatric care.Experience with stroke assessment and treatment protocols.Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems, specifically Epic.Certifications RequiredBasic Life Support (BLS) - AHA certifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA certifiedNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)Preferred CertificationsCrisis Prevention Institute (CPI)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)LicensureCurrent South Carolina RN license or a Multi-State/Compact State RN license required.Schedule and AvailabilityShift: 3x12-hour nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)Weekend requirement: Every other weekendFloating may be required to meet facility needs within scope of practice.Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.Additional InformationAll team members may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season, running from June through November.
