Senior Data Engineer

What You'll Be Doing
• Work with large, complex datasets and turn them into clean, reliable data products
• Partner with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to support analytics and reporting
needs
• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks
• Assist in designing and implementing data integration solutions from various source
systems
• Collaborate with team members using Git for version control and code collaboration
• Translate high-level requirements from senior government officials into practical
technical solutions
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across pipelines
• Help document solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Build or contribute to data visualizations and dashboards as needed
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
• Solid SQL skills and experience with Python and Pyspark
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders and navigating ambiguous
requirements
• Self-starter mindset - you can take ownership and move things forward
Nice to Have
• Experience working with government or regulated environments
• Familiarity with data governance, security, or compliance standards
• Experience supporting BI, analytics, or data science teams
• Experience with building insightful dashboards and applications
