MAX ATTEMPTS IS 2****There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation. *Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery# Ratios1:2, 1:1Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Level 1 trauma Center, Falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, trauma patients over age of 15. Ex-lap, crani, speciality neuro-surgery cases. CVA, status post-TPA, COVID, sepsis, ARDS.Experience or 'Must have' skillsAre RNs required to titrate drips?YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, levophed, vasopressin, cardene, labetatol, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, insulinCharge NurseYes, do not take patientsAre there nurse aids on this unit/Ratiosno, only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary Hospitalist or Intensivist in houseYes, 24/7RT in ICU 24/7YesRT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc)Dreager, Hamilton, Puritan Benette 840, V60s Bipap, Airvo Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Sister units are a medical/cardiac 36 bed ICU & 12 bed overflow ICU. Expectation is to float between all 3 ICUs.Additional Questions: Okay with first time traveler, however must have 3 years experience (with 2 of those years in the ICU). Level 1 experience or neuro experience not required but preferred.
