Experience in corporate, partnerships and individual returns
A minimum of three years of experience performing tax services in a CPA firm or small business
Strong accounting skills including maintaining cash and accrual basis general ledgers
Strong QuickBooks knowledge, Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA required
A Day in the Life of a Senior Tax Accountant
Be responsible for recording activity after-the-fact for small businesses in order to prepare the tax return
Prepare federal and state tax returns for partnerships, C Corporations, S Corporations, trusts, estates and individuals
Research tax issues and reach conclusions with adequate technical support
Apply technical knowledge and work experience to consulting engagements
Train, mentor and provide work direction to staff
Recognize, anticipate and resolve tax issues; make recommendations
Review and organize tax information supplied by client
