Senior Health & Safety Specialist

Job Summary Yearly Base Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000 Relocation available: Yes Nationwide Variable compensation: 10% Referral Program Refer Talent, Earn Rewards: Your Network, Your Reward!! This referral amount will be granted to you upon the completion of 120 days in their new position at our client. Roles & Responsibilities Provide technical support to Areas and assigned programs. Lead safety team in projects. Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals. Supports continuous improvement/automation activities. Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures. Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. Employee/Health & Safety Work Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace. Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions. Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence. Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety. Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies. Basic Qualifications BS Safety Management or related field & 2 or more years of safety and health experience OR MS Safety Management or related field and minimal safety and health experience. Preferred Qualifications Tire/rubber industry experience. Authorized OSHA General Industry Training. Manufacturing experience. Disaster and Fire Prevention experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
