Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to lead review and compilation engagements for our clients, with a particular focus on the construction industry. This role requires strong technical judgment working independently on engagements, hands-on experience with WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion accounting for long-term contracts, and the ability to prepare tax returns to support clients year-round. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of public accounting experience and is comfortable managing engagements from planning through issuance with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial statement review and compilation engagements in accordance with SSARS standards
• Prepare and analyze WIP (work-in-progress) schedules for construction clients
• Apply percentage-of-completion method accounting for long-term contracts
• Prepare individual and business tax returns, particularly during tax season
• Analyze financial statements and identify unusual trends, discrepancies, or areas of risk
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and explain findings
• Draft financial statements, footnote disclosures, and engagement documentation
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines independently
• Stay current on relevant accounting standards, tax law changes, and construction industry practices

Qualifications

Required:

• 5–7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on reviews and compilations
• Demonstrated experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Strong understanding of SSARS standards for review and compilation engagements
• Ability to work independently and manage engagements start to finish

Preferred:

• Experience with the construction industry, including WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion method for long-term contracts
• Proficiency with UltraTax CS
• Proficiency with Engagement Manager CS (Thomson Reuters)
• CPA or EA license, or actively pursuing licensure
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
