Circulation Clerk

Circulation Clerk A local newspaper is seeking an organized and energetic Circulation Clerk to serve as the face of the publication. This customer-focused position plays a key role in daily office operations, circulation management, and customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working with the public, is comfortable handling multiple tasks, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with regular deadlines. Training on circulation software and postal measurement procedures will be provided. Pay: $15.00/hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Requirements Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Strong clerical and organizational abilities Basic math skills with attention to detail Professional phone etiquette Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy office environment Dependable attendance and punctuality Responsibilities Greet customers and visitors at the front desk Answer and direct incoming phone calls Open and close the office daily Handle cash transactions and balance the register Manage circulation records using Interlink software Track and maintain circulation data using Excel and Google Sheets Prepare postal markups using a ruler and calculator Assist with proofreading publications as needed Support general office operations and administrative tasks What We're Looking For Successful candidates will be energetic, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining excellent customer service.
