Sous Chef - Large Senior Living Community We are seeking a creative and dedicated Sous Chef to join our team at a large senior living community in Edmonds. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Culinary Director/Executive Chef, develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand. Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs. Line cook duties Ensure food quality and presentation is adhered to by all staff Monitor and record inventory Provide support to cooks with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating. Train new kitchen employees to meet kitchen standards. Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices. Knowledge of Department of Health regulations for restaurant including HCAAP and food safety program. Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant software programs. Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities. Experience with catering and large group functions. Safe food handling techniques are required. Work flexible shifts.
