Business Attorney

Reports to a Deputy General Counsel. Responsible for handling complex business transactional legal matters.

ON-SITE work requirement, Corporate office 3911 S Walker Blvd, Dallas TX 75236

• Provides legal review of proposed business agreements, procurement actions, contract claims and contract enforcement.
• Practices preventive law, which may include developing and conducting educational sessions regarding prevention of litigation and, recommend changes to policy impacting The Exchange.
• Provides analysis of current and proposed laws and policy and provides counsel to The Exchange directorates.

Job Qualifications

• Law degree
• 5 years legal experience as a licensed and practicing attorney, with at least 3 years' experience with business transactional law.
• Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent legal research abilities.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong legal analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good business acumen.
• Ability to work independently with sense of urgency, responsibility and fairness.
• Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders ( executive management, military personnel and government personnel), adjusting communications to the situation, and successfully understanding and communicating priorities to each audience.
