Human Resources Manager

With offices located throughout Arizona, we are dedicated to providing top-tier legal guidance to our clients. This role is essential for the seamless functioning of our firm. The HR Manager at Genesis Legal isn't just a behind-the-scenes player; they are integral to our commitment to excellence. By overseeing the HR operations, administrative tasks, and client service aspects of the firm, this role supports our team in delivering outstanding HR support and ensuring a positive employee experience. As the organizational cornerstone of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a range of critical tasks that contribute to our firm's success. The HR Manager serves as the firm's HR point of contact, embodying our ethos of personalized attention and service. What you’ll do: HR Management: Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. Oversee HR issues, including resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns. Track and manage employee PTO, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Develop and implement HR policies to promote a productive and respectful work environment. Support and contribute to the team's recruitment and hiring processes. Hiring & Recruitment: Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across the firm, from workforce planning through onboarding. Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and develop effective hiring strategies. Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to ensure strong cultural and role fit. Continuously improve recruiting processes to attract high-quality talent Payroll Management: Process end-to-end payroll for 60 employees across Arizona and Michigan. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, including wages, bonuses, and deductions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Maintain and improve the payroll system to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency. Track and manage employee PTO, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Act as the main point of contact for benefit brokers and carriers. Lead the annual benefits renewal process in collaboration with brokers and leadership, including plan review, negotiations, and employee communications. Manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and troubleshooting benefit-related issues. Onboarding and Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization. Facilitate ongoing training initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge, fostering professional growth. Drive SOPs around team member compliance and alignment with firm expectations. Client Experience: Work closely with our legal team to ensure a seamless client experience. Take charge of client surveys and feedback collection to continuously improve our services. Collaborate with the team to enhance the online reputation of Genesis Legal Group. Monitor and manage our social media presence and community engagement. What we’re looking for: Experience and Education: Minimum of 4 years of proven HR management experience in a legal or similar professional setting. MUST have hands-on experience with Paycom HRIS Strong background in full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition Familiarity with HR laws and regulations in Arizona and Michigan. Experience managing and tracking employee performance, including SLA and KPI targets. Proven experience managing benefit programs and working directly with brokers during annual renewals. Strong understanding of payroll laws and HR best practices, including benefits administration. Higher education or certification in HR administration is a plus. Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in HR/payroll systems, CRMs, and Google SheetsProficiency in HR/payroll systems, docketing software, CRMs, and Google Sheets. Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
