CFO Business Partnering & Controls AVP

To provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organisation, and act as a liaison between the finance function and various business units, helping to bridge the gap between financial data and business decisions. Accountabilities Development and implementation of business unit financial strategies, plans and budgets, using insights to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and recommend appropriate actions. Development of financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks for business units, and to analyse the impact of business decisions on financial performance and provision of recommendations. Cross functional collaboration to provide financial insights and guidance to business unit stakeholders. Identification of opportunities and implementation of financial process improvements that streamline financial operations. Support to business units in identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, including provision of training and guidance to business units on financial risk management and compliance practices. Analysis and presentation of financial data to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making. To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions / business divisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well‑developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes. As a critical business partner, you will be expected to drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and risk management. Proven skill in interpreting complex financial data and translating it into clear, actionable insights. Other Highly Valued Skills and Experience Markets or Banking product knowledge, with an understanding of associated controls. Foundation in accounting principles and regulatory frameworks. Experience in change management and process improvement.
