Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller

Salary: $115,000$135,000 base + up to 20% bonus

Location: Washington, DC Metro preferred; Eastern or Central time zones considered

Office Situation: Remote with occasional meetings in the Washington, DC area

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting for assigned entities, including AP, AR and bank reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end, quarterly and year-end close
• Prepare financial statements and management reporting
• Support multi-entity accounting, intercompany activity and consolidations
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Partner directly with the CFO on financial analysis and special projects
• Progressively take on broader close and financial reporting ownership

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or comparable-level background
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Hands-on GL, month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation/reporting
• AP and AR accounting experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Advanced Excel
• QuickBooks
