Junior Tax Accountant

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr on w2
Candidate Profile - We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on tax operations experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Year-end tax reporting, including Forms 1099 and 1042-S.
- Tax operations quality assurance, testing, and control execution
- U.S. withholding tax regulations, including NRA, FATCA, and Backup Withholding requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of financial services experience, preferably within Tax Operations, Tax Compliance, or Operations Control functions
- Experience validating IRS Forms W-8 and W-9 and/or supporting Forms 1099 and/or 1042-S reporting preparation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile and validate data accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with data analytics and end-user automation tools preferred (e.g., CoPilot, Power BI, Alteryx)
- Experience conducting Quality Control Testing a plus
- Knowledge of CRS and/or Canadian tax reporting requirements a plus
