Junior Staff Accountant | Addition Management The Tone: This is a full-time role at Addition Management, located in New York, NY. The company is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant for an NYC-based Savings Bank. This role is critical for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting comprehensive reporting processes, and contributing to the overall financial health and operational reporting of the bank and its subsidiaries. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person New York, NY Pay: $60000-$70000 yearly Mission: To ensure accurate financial accounting, support reporting, and contribute to the bank's financial stability through diligent record-keeping and analysis. Tech Stack: MS Excel, Word, Outlook What You'll Actually Do Account Reconciliation: Record journal entries and prepare account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end closing, prepare financial reporting, and conduct variance analysis. Asset & Lease Management: Maintain the bank's fixed asset accounting, including recording new assets and depreciation, and manage lease accounting from initiation to supporting schedules. Compliance & Tax: Prepare assigned quarterly Call Report schedules, complete annual RPIE, and handle monthly sales tax and quarterly commercial rent tax returns. Audit & Support: Support internal and external audits by providing various financial information and analysis, aiding in problem resolution. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, suitable for an entry-level professional with foundational knowledge of financial accounting principles and concepts. Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required for this role.
