Must-Have:
- Experience in inpatient malignant medical oncology
- Comfort level with all ranges of hematology consults


Description:
Need an ASAP start.
Credentialing takes approximately 90 days.
Will need to have privileges at multiple facilities.
Patients per day: 20-25.
Special procedures include malignant and benign oncology.
Must have experience and comfort with inpatient malignant medical oncology patients.
Practice setting is hospital inpatient service.
Support staff includes one Advanced Practice Provider Monday through Friday, and one on weekends to assist.
Call expectations involve an 8-10 hour day for the inpatient team.
Overnight call is conducted from home, focused on medical oncology specific calls, one week at a time.
Role expectations include leading the medical oncology team.
Supervising Advanced Practice Providers and seeing inpatients and all new consults is required.
Inpatient service requires same-day documentation.
Outpatient service also requires same-day documentation, with a maximum of three days.
No call coverage is required for outpatient responsibilities, though the option exists to assist.
An overnight call from home has minimal call volume with nurse triage service and hospitalists available.
Daily census ranges from 30-40 patients.
The unit has 590 beds.
Special equipment used includes Epic.
This is a hospital inpatient service with specific expectations for documentation and consults.
