Machinist I

Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Machinist I candidates to support CNC machining operations for a leading manufacturing facility in Lexington, SC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and conventional machining equipment while ensuring high-quality production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Pay Rate: $25 Shift: 1st Shift | Overtime as Required Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipment Complete machine setup including fixturing, work offsets, tool building, and tool setting Load, interpret, and troubleshoot M & G codes and CNC programs Proof programs and make machine adjustments as needed during production Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and other measuring equipment Identify tooling, inserts, and adjustments needed for production changeovers Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to ensure part quality and productivity Record productivity data and complete first article inspections Work collaboratively with engineering, supervisors, and production teams to resolve floor-level issues Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required 3 years of machining experience preferred Associate degree in a related field may substitute for experience Experience in precision manufacturing environments preferred Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC mills or lathes Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment Worksite Policies & Highlights: PPE and safety equipment required Opportunities for cross-training and advancement Fast-paced manufacturing environment Overtime may be required based on production needs Team-oriented workplace focused on safety, quality, and efficiency Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive movements Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Express Employment Professionals - Columbia
