CNC Machinist

Machinist PositionNesco Resource is hiring 2nd and 3rd shift Machinists for a client located in Lexington, SC. The Machine Operator / Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining equipment to manufacture precision parts and finished products according to production schedules, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This role supports daily manufacturing operations through machine setup, troubleshooting, inspections, and continuous process improvement.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and written instructionsLoad tooling, offsets, fixtures, and machine programs as requiredMonitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiencyPerform first article inspections (FAI) and routine quality checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipmentTroubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues as neededMaintain accurate production logs and related documentationAssist with assembly or secondary operations when requiredMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and company safety standardsCollaborate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to meet operational goalsPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious CNC machine operation or machining experience preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specificationsKnowledge of machine setup, tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsetsFamiliarity with CNC programming and conventional machining equipmentAbility to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gaugesStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsBasic shop mathematics and computer skills preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong attention to detailAbility to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbsFlexibility to work overtime and alternate shifts as neededNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
