Senior Operations Intelligence Analyst (Office of Telemedicine)

Requisition #: 670441 | Location: Johns Hopkins Health System, Baltimore, MD 21201 | Category: Healthcare Operations | Schedule: Day Shift | Employment Type: Full Time Responsibilities Identify, query, analyze, and present data to support quality and performance measurement initiatives across the Johns Hopkins Health System. Collaborate with staff in the Office of Telemedicine, clinical departments, and analytic, quality, financial, and business planning groups to provide data and reporting support. Support areas such as patient satisfaction surveys, quality and patient safety reporting, clinical outcome tracking, asset utilization, billing and compliance metrics, finance, and business development. Analyze and organize complex qualitative and quantitative operational, clinical, financial, and administrative data from multiple sources, synthesizing results into meaningful reports and presentations using Tableau, SQL, Excel, Epic reporting tools, and other analytic platforms. Maintain quality requirements and functional design specifications, ensuring design and integration standards are met for telemedicine programs. Leverage large data sets to distill information for senior leadership and staff across the organization. Serve as a resource and role model for other data analysts, training end‑users on analytic and reporting capabilities. Participate in program upgrades, including requirements definition, design, development, training, and support per the system life cycle methodologies. Provide end‑user support and collaborate on workflow analysis to support departmental and organizational efficiencies. Test and audit billing and compliance metrics; investigate telemedicine‑related patient safety events and help‑desk tickets. Support system wide Go Lives, providing post‑Go‑Live analysis for optimization. Optimize existing workflows, retraining staff when new functionality is available, and audit training materials. Participate in upgrade testing and validation; track and audit dashboards to ensure functionality and veracity. Skills High analytical ability to solve complex problems. Advanced interpersonal skills to interface effectively with department heads, employees, vendors, consultants, external partners, and internal staff. Ability to work on multiple programs simultaneously and reorganize priorities as needed. Proficiency with Excel for manipulating large data sets and synthesizing information. Experience querying relational databases and building dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Tableau (preferred), MicroStrategy, SAP Business Objects, Cognos, etc. Strong ability to work effectively with senior‑level management and staff at all levels within an organization. Experience with data manipulation, cleansing, and statistical analysis using tools such as SAS, R, Python, Power BI, and other platforms. Clear communication of complex and sensitive data to senior executives and peers. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to individuals and audiences throughout the institution. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed, concentrated effort on multiple projects and re‑establish priorities as necessary. Initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness. Attention to detail, ensuring follow‑through on all initiatives and projects. Ability to respond to time‑sensitive issues and meet deadlines. Education Requires a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Business Management, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. Work Experience Requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, workflow analysis, and implementation of new programs in a healthcare operations, administrative, clinical, or research setting. Project management skills and/or experience are a plus; MS Access and/or SQL Server database experience is advantageous. Preferred Certifications PMP Agile Lean Sigma Six Sigma Salary Range $34.41/hour – $56.82/hour.
