Safety Coordinator - Bilingual Experienced safety professionals, put your expertise to work where people love to shop! We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to join our team.
In this role, you will drive a safe work environment through regular inspections, hazard identification, training, and incident investigation, while also supporting the Human Resources team with recruiting, onboarding, and day-to-day associate needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
- Identify potential hazards, perform job hazard analyses, and implement corrective actions or temporary precautions
- Deliver new hire safety orientations, safety training sessions, and toolbox talks
- Partner with the Fleet team to emphasize accident prevention and ongoing driver safety training
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety training, and accident reports
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures and drills
- Assist with recruiting efforts and support new hire orientation and training
- Provide general HR support to Spanish-speaking associates
Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a safety-related role with HR support responsibilities
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Thorough understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, follow-up, and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
