School NurseThe school nurse will oversee medical administration needs and address medical issues affecting students within Hampden County.QualificationsCurrent and valid license as a registered nurse from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of NursesRN required; BSN preferred.CPR-BLSResponsibilitiesAdvise staff on and address day-to-day medical issues/needs and emergencies of students.Oversee the administration of all medication and treatments for all students according to guidelines set by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.Inventory control and record keeping according to state and federal guidelines for all medications.He/she will communicate effectively with program director in regard to student and administrative issues.Participate in the ordering and storage of medical supplies and medication according to program, state, and federal guidelines.When necessary, help to create medical protocols for specific student needs, including EpiPen training for staff.Job Types: Contract, Per diem
