Evening Hospital CustodianUW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services has multiple employment opportunities for Evening Hospital Custodians.Work Schedule100% FTE (40 hours per week)Evening shift, (3:00pm - 11:00pm) - Rotating every other weekend.Position HighlightsMaintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assignedPrimary Job ResponsibilitiesCleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedureRemoves and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectantPerforms bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedureStrips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floor scrubbersPerforms in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedureVacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractorsPerforms cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairsComplies with safety policies and procedures and medical center emergency and disaster proceduresRequirementsPhysical ability to do required work.About Uw Medical Center-MontlakeUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
