Manufacturing Planning Manager (Level 5)

Description You will be the Manufacturing Planning Manager (Level 5) for the Tactical Missile Launcher Programs team, responsible for managing manufacturing planning for the M270 and HIMARS programs. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Planning Manager you will lead the planning function that drives production success across our missile launcher portfolio. Lead manufacturing planners and associate managers for M270 and HIMARS programs. Develop and track monthly, annual, and long‑range production plans to meet contractual milestones. Coordinate recruitment, training, performance assessments, and workforce management for the planning team. Conduct impact analysis and communicate plan changes to program management and production leadership. Ensure accurate labor charging and compliance with internal operating procedures. Experience supporting MMAS (Material Management and Accounting System). Proficient knowledge of SAP and Microsoft programs. Ability to develop and manage budgets. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry peers, and internal and external customers. High level of experience in MRP and ERP systems with risk mitigation strategies for material availability. Experience assigning/managing projects to organizational units and leading teams to meet critical schedules. Ability to manage functional leaders in creating, monitoring, and reporting on all executive operations metrics. Ability to obtain Secret security clearance. Desired Skills Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) extensive user experience or implementation. Knowledge of industry best practices for managing material flow throughout the Production supply chain. Strategic thinker with lean manufacturing focus (Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification preferred). Experience managing Tactical Missile efforts. Experience working on program proposals to establish labor budgets. Proven ability to build and lead cross‑functional teams to maximize output. Experience presenting to Director level and above. MBA or other relevant higher education. 10+ years management experience. 10+ years Program Planning experience. Security Clearance This position requires a U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance.
