Qualifications:

• Active Washington Special Education Certification is required
• Experience in life skills or special education settings preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Compassion, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction focused on life skills development
• Adapt lessons to meet the unique abilities and learning styles of each student
• Manage and document student progress, attending meetings and updating IEPs as needed
• Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages positive social and emotional growth
• Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and school staff to maximize student success
