Registered Nurse Med Surg Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care on the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry 7th Floor Tower, managing a wide range of post-surgical and medical-telemetry patients. This role includes responsibilities as a Night Shift Charge RN, requiring strong clinical expertise, charge experience, and the ability to float between like units. The nurse will perform patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Previous charge nurse experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license or pending license with quick start availability.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to work weekends every other week.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Proficient in electronic health record charting (EPIC preferred).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry acute care units.
• Previous experience with patient monitoring via a Central Monitoring Unit.
• Effective interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.

Special Considerations:

• This position is not open to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility.
• Floating between like units is required regularly.
• No on-call duties are required.
• Travel contract length is 13 weeks.
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions are minimal, with preference for under 7 days.

Scheduling:

• Night shift position with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Weekend work required every other week.
• Block scheduling is not currently accommodated.
