Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans targeting short-term goals while addressing longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational support for patients and families, fostering continued growth outside of clinical interactions.
• Participate in selective inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure continuity of care through the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of field advancements through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
