Details Level IV Neonatal ICU unit with 42 beds and approximately 100 staff members Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 depending on acuity Uses incubators, radiant warmers, continuous cardiorespiratory monitoring, High Frequency Oscillating Ventilation, Jet Ventilation, Servo ventilation, tracheostomy care, high-flow nasal cannula, NIPPV, central lines, PIVs, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and Arctic Sun cooling systems EMR systems used include Neonatal Notes Manager and Meditech Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 13-week seasonal assignment Floating to PICU may be required Requirements Active RN license (Compact or Colorado state license) required Current BLS and NRP certification (Advanced 9th Edition) required Minimum 1 year of current acute care Level IV NICU hospital experience required PICU experience preferred for floating flexibility Post-surgical care experience preferred US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Join a seasoned NICU team offering strong opportunities for early-to-midcareer clinicians to grow quickly in a diverse NICU patient population Daily learning during rounds with high exposure to advanced procedures and complex care pathways Common procedures include intubation, central line placement, PIV insertion, therapeutic hypothermia, lab draws, sepsis screening, gastric tube placement, circumcisions, and ROP exams Ideal candidates demonstrate high professionalism, accountability, reliability, and emotional regulation in a high-acuity environment Follows NICU Standard of Care evidence-based practice guidelines Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered American Traveler Job ID P-722401.
