Supervisor, DraftingWe have a rewarding opportunity for a Supervisor, Drafting with CW Idaho Falls, ID! As our Drafting Supervisor, you will lead and guide a team of drafting professionals. This team is part of the Engineering Group and provides drafting support for advanced power plant designs including Small Modular Reactors as well as existing nuclear power plants.In this role, you will support existing Curtiss-Wright products as well as new product development. The position is considered a working supervisor where some of your time will be working on drawings. Along with the team, you will prepare working plans, detailed drawings and complete mechanical or electrical drawings of complex components and assemblies from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches for engineering or manufacturing purposes, using computerized equipment (e.g., CAD/CAM). Work at this level generally involves more advanced drafting assignments. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Your ChallengeContribute to development of a Curtiss-Wright drafting standard.Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD/CAM hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
