Substitute Bus Aide / Substitute Van Driver

Substitute Van Driver $14.56/hr

Qualifications:

1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Demonstrated record of successful employment.
3. Valid Ohio's driver's license with an excellent driving record.
4. Must have a current Van Certification.
5. Must be able to pass the school bus physical/drug test.
6. Must be insurable by board insurance carrier.
7. Must pass state and federally required BCI and FBI background checks.
8. Must attend State of Ohio in-service classes held by the State Instructor.
9. Must complete all training and classes as required by law, and as required by Sylvania Schools.

Substitute Bus Aide $14.04/hr

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Demonstrated record of successful employment.
3. Valid BCI and FBI background checks on file.
4. Valid CPI Certificate.
5. Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate.
6. Valid Educational Aide Permit.
7. Special training will be required for this one-on-one job.
8. Experience working with students with disabilities; must be willing to assist students and learn to communicate with non-verbal students with visual, physical, or behavioral challenges.
9. Must be willing to learn to operate bus lift and secure wheelchairs into appropriate hookups.
10. Ability to interact well with co-workers, parents and district staff.
11. Must complete all training as required by Sylvania Schools and/or the Ohio Department of Education.
