Subpoena Intake Team Lead I

Oversee daily subpoena intake operations, including reviewing incoming requests, coordinating workflow, and ensuring accurate data entry into case tracking systems Provide people management leadership by hiring talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork, and handling disciplinary actions as required Provide management, leadership, coaching, counseling, and guidance to the subpoena team Supervise subpoena department projects and meet regularly with department members to track progress and adjust assignments and deliverables Train new subpoena staff members in policies, practices, and procedures Oversee complex production requests and prepare them for submission to the Legal Research team Assign, prioritize, monitor, and direct Subpoena staff work Lead projects, special tasks, and difficult summons and subpoenas Evaluate project effectiveness after implementation, gather feedback, and incorporate changes into future project plans Communicate with in-house counsel and outside counsel Travel and/or testify on the Bank's behalf as Records Custodian when required Requirements High School Diploma or GED 5 Years of related experience 4+ years of legal assistant work experience or administrative experience in a banking or corporate environment or legal office is required Legal Assistant certification/training highly desirable Must have strong knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and functional areas of the organization Advanced Proficiency with basic office equipment such as personal computers, fax machines, copiers and telephone systems Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Must have excellent typing and transcription skills Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are necessary Detail-oriented, highly motivated and adaptable Must exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of records and information Must have excellent Customer service orientation Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Ability to prioritize time-sensitive requests Core Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership in managing subpoena operations, including staff development, project oversight, and effective communication with legal teams.
