Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote) ABOUT CUPSHE Cupshe is a global fashion and lifestyle brand dedicated to creating accessible, trend-forward products that inspire confidence and joy. As the apparel business continues to expand, we are seeking a commercially minded Senior Designer to support growth across our Multi-Channel and B2B businesses. This role will be responsible for identifying emerging trends, translating market opportunities into commercially successful products, and supporting apparel development across Sea, Dawn, Premium, and strategic wholesale and B2B partnerships. The ideal candidate combines strong fashion instincts with exceptional product development skills and a deep understanding of the contemporary women's apparel market. RESPONSIBILITIES This role will report directly to the VP of Apparel Design and serve as a key partner in executing the apparel vision across Multi-Channel, B2B, and strategic growth initiatives. The Senior Designer will be responsible for identifying emerging trends, translating market opportunities into commercially successful products, and supporting apparel development across all customer segments and strategic wholesale and B2B partnerships. Conduct ongoing trend, market, and competitive research across contemporary, fast-fashion, and lifestyle brands. Identify emerging silhouettes, fabrics, colors, details, and category opportunities relevant to the Cupshe customer. Shop and analyze market leaders to identify commercially successful products and emerging trends. Translate trend insights into actionable product opportunities across multiple channels and customer segments. Present trend research, seasonal opportunities, and competitive analysis to leadership teams Product Design & Development Develop trend-driven apparel concepts across dresses, tops, bottoms, sweaters, outerwear, and special projects. Create and revise CADs, technical flats, colorways, tech packs, and presentations using Adobe Illustrator, AI-powered design tools, or a combination of both. Adapt and commercialize market trends into products aligned with Cupshe customers, price points, and business objectives. Create and maintain accurate, development-ready tech packs including technical flats, construction details, artwork placement, colorways, and design specifications. Review and update tech packs throughout the development process to reflect design revisions, fit comments, and product changes. Partner with Overseas Product Development and Technical Design teams to ensure tech packs accurately communicate design intent and support efficient sample execution. Create and execute commercially viable apparel styles from concept through production handoff, including CAD development, tech pack creation, fit review, and cross-functional communication. Support fabric, trim, print, and wash development initiatives as needed. Lead design development for assigned Multi-Channel and B2B programs. Develop product assortments aligned with customer requirements, channel strategies, and business goals. Support annual B2B development programs across all customer segments. Manage multiple development calendars and style counts simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of seasonal development milestones. Fit Review & Product Evaluation Review fit photos, videos, measurement reports, and factory feedback to evaluate garment fit, balance, proportion, construction, and overall product quality. Demonstrate a strong product eye and the ability to identify fit, construction, and aesthetic issues while maintaining design intent. Partner with Overseas Technical Design and Product Development teams to communicate fit observations and recommendations throughout the development process. Participate in fit review meetings and support documentation of fit comments, construction revisions, and next steps. Maintain organized records of fit feedback, revisions, and development history. Participate in live fittings when applicable, including occasional early morning or evening meetings to accommodate overseas development schedules and factory partners. Support implementation of category-specific fit standards and customer-focused fit strategies. Special Projects & Collaborations Monthly Capsules, influencer capsules, celebrity collaborations, and strategic partnership projects as assigned. Assist in developing products that align with collaborator vision while maintaining Cupshe brand standards. Participate in presentations, reviews, and milestone meetings for special projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration Serve as a key design partner to the VP of Apparel Design across seasonal development, strategic initiatives, and special projects. Support execution of apparel growth strategies, category expansion opportunities, and customer-focused product initiatives. Assist with trend research, presentations, line reviews, assortment planning, and leadership meetings as needed. Help drive alignment between design vision, business objectives, and development execution. Provide flexible support across collaboration capsules, B2B programs, Multi-Channel initiatives, and other priority projects as directed by the VP of Apparel Design. Partner closely with Overseas Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, Planning, and Supply Chain teams. Communicate regularly with overseas development teams and factory partners. Support seasonal line reviews, milestone meetings, and product presentations. Maintain strong communication and organization across multiple projects and timelines Utilize AI-powered tools to support trend analysis, concept development, product visualization, presentation creation, and workflow efficiency. Explore emerging technologies and recommend improvements to design and development processes. Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability toward new digital tools and evolving ways of working. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred. 4–7+ years of apparel design experience. Strong experience in women's apparel with a focus on commercial product development. Strong understanding of contemporary, fast-fashion, and lifestyle apparel markets. Proven ability to identify and translate trends into commercially successful products. Strong Adobe Illustrator skills required. Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign preferred. Strong CAD, technical flat, tech pack, and presentation skills. Experience creating and maintaining apparel tech packs and development documentation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to clearly communicate design intent through technical flats, specifications, and product documentation. Strong product evaluation skills with the ability to assess fit, silhouette, proportion, construction, and overall garment quality from samples, photos, and fit review materials. Experience working with overseas factories and development teams. Strong understanding of apparel construction, fit, fabrication, and product development. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple categories and development calendars simultaneously. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable collaborating with overseas teams and working across multiple time zones when necessary. Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies within the fashion industry. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in contemporary women's apparel, resortwear, swimwear, or lifestyle brands. Experience supporting wholesale, B2B, marketplace, or multi-channel businesses. Strong trend forecasting and market analysis skills. Experience using AI-powered creative tools such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Vizcom, Newarc, Krea, or similar platforms. Experience working within high-volume, fast-paced product development environments.
