What You'll Do

• Review prescriptions for required information, assemble the component parts, and produce an accurate finished product
• Repackage bulk medication into unit dose and blister packs
• Process replacement shipments and rotate stock to maintain product quality
• Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for registries of poisons, narcotics, and controlled drugs
• Assist in compounding medications as prescribed by mixing ingredients and packaging under the direction of the pharmacist
• Deliver medications to resident locations
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months plus experience in related field
• Pharmacy Technician associate degree preferred
• Pharmacy Technician certificate preferred
