Credit Evaluator Supervisor

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is looking for a Credit Evaluator Supervisor to provide supervision and operational support for the Credit Evaluation area.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Processing and Credit Evaluation, this position is responsible for interpreting, evaluating, and posting external transfer credit to student records in accordance with academic unit requirements and established departmental processes and procedures. The role requires a strong understanding of credit evaluation workflows and the ability to navigate multiple technology systems, including PeopleSoft Student Information System, Slate Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Perceptive Content imaging software. The position may also provide face-to-face support to students for transfer credit.

Supervise and support the Credit Evaluation team including, but not limited to: communicating office goals and productivity expectations, delegating work across the team utilizing reports, scheduling and executing the training for new staff, ongoing coaching and administering annual performance evaluations.

Research, interpret, evaluate, and post transfer credit with regard to department/unit rules and regulations. Respond to staff, faculty, and student inquiries regarding transfer credit.

Manages technological support and troubleshoots issues with programs within the Credit Evaluation area, including but not limited to the Transfer Credit Equivalency database.

Collaborates with campus partners on the policies, technologies, and strategies used to manage the evaluation of credit across offices. Provide additional support to other areas of the office on an as-needed basis.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One year of supervisory experience

Advanced keyboarding skills; high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work well among diverse coworkers

The ability to manage and organize complex information

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and technology.

Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace experience

Demonstrated ability to interact with the public in an effective manner with complex/sensitive data.

Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Minimum of two years of experience in a production-oriented office is preferred.

Prior experience with the evaluation of transfer credit

Experience working with customer relations management (CRM) tools, such as Slate.

Experience working within student database systems, such as PeopleSoft.

Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures.

Experience handling the routing of materials/data through complex workflows.

Prior experience evaluating and posting transfer credit.
