Research and Development Applications Scientist

Agilent Technologies seeks an R&D Applications Chemist to develop and validate new consumable products for liquid chromatography and LC/MS systems. The role involves designing experiments, generating performance data, and supporting product launches while collaborating across marketing and manufacturing functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop performance requirements and qualification plans for new LC/LC/MS consumable products
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate product prototypes against specifications
- Generate performance data, conduct statistical analyses, and prepare technical reports
- Support transition of product designs into manufacturing and develop QC test methods
- Create technical content including application notes, training materials, and customer presentations
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with LC and LC/MS instrumentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in biopharmaceutical industry preferred
- Knowledge of sample preparation techniques preferred
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab
Compensation: $127,680–$199,500 base annually, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits
