Summer Healthcare (5 Week) Internship for EMTs & Nursing Students Are you an EMT, nursing student, pre-med student, or healthcare professional looking for a summer job or internship where you can gain real-world experience? Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Camp Nurse / EMT Staff to provide on-site medical care and health supervision for youth summer camps in Brooklyn this summer This is a unique opportunity to build hands-on patient care experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Why This Role is Great for Healthcare Students
- Ideal for EMTs, nursing students, pre-med, and healthcare majors
- Gain real experience in first aid, injury response, and patient care
- Build your resume for medical school, nursing programs, or EMT careers
- Work independently while developing clinical decision-making skills
- Monday-Friday schedule (no nights or overnight shifts)
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff
- Respond to injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents
- Manage medications and allergies (including EpiPens)
- Maintain accurate medical and incident records
- Communicate with parents regarding health concerns
- Conduct daily health checks and monitor camper well-being
- Ensure a safe and proactive health environment
- EMTs, nursing students, pre-med students, or healthcare professionals
- Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified
- Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or patient care
- Comfortable working independently in a camp setting
- Experience working with children is a plus (not required)
- Responsible, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
- Monday-Friday (~8-hour days)
- Need to be available the following weeks and able to commute to Brooklyn, NY JULY 6-10
