Job Title Category Manager – Electronics Components Location Scottsdale, AZ OR Sylmar, CA – Full‑time, fully onsite Overview Abbott’s Cardiac Rhythm Management division seeks a Category Manager to oversee the global electronics components category, supporting innovative cardiac care solutions. Responsibilities Lead the global electronics components category, ensuring supplier compliance with specifications and quality standards. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors, negotiating supply contracts and monitoring material delivery. Manage complex or high‑impact purchases and negotiate terms in purchasing agreements. Provide coaching and instruction to lower‑level staff as needed. Execute highly complex or specialized projects, adapting solutions to meet business needs. Capture, analyze, and report on category data to support strategic decisions. Travel up to approximately 20%, including international trips. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent combined education and work experience. Minimum 10years of progressively responsible purchasing/commodity management experience. Minimum 3years in a highly regulated environment. Minimum 8years of experience with purchasing/commodity management software. Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills. Ability to work in a highly matrixed, geographically diverse business environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage multiple organizational levels. Excellent organizational, follow‑up, and multi‑tasking abilities. Compensation The base pay for this position is $114,000.00 – $228,000.00, with potential variation by location.
