Full-Time Assistant Manager

A Cinemark Assistant Manager assists in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. Assistant Managers are cross‑trained in all departments, support where needed, and provide inspirational training to all Employees. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager and support General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff. Work in all departments and all theatre job functions. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General Manager. Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with Guests for improved service in the theatre and ensure that Team Members provide superior Customer service. Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines, and enforce them fairly and consistently. Report all Employee relations issues to the General Manager (or to in the GM’s absence). Follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol and maintain high work‑ethic standards and code of conduct. Consistently identify and sanitize Employee and Guest high‑contact areas. Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Properly address any safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.). Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state‑mandated certification, health card, or food handlers permit where required. Management members who work with alcohol must complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Excellent Guest service and accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Interpersonal skills: communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities; effective and regular conversation in English. Ability to work in a team environment and independently. Ability to take and follow direction; respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Ability to resolve conflict. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theatre. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
