Legal Assistant

Client: Well-Known law firm Role: Legal Assistant (Temporary) Pay Rate: $30-$35 Duration: 3+ months with the opportunity to extend based on performance Location: San Francisco, CA - 5 days a week onsite Job Description: Litigation & Document Support Drafting & Production: Assist in the preparation of complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and professional correspondence. Technical Formatting: Generate accurate Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities for legal briefs. Court Filings: Manage the end-to-end filing process, navigating both traditional paper filings and various e-filing portals. Trial Prep: Prepare Trial Memoranda and ensure all trial-related appearances and deadlines are meticulously tracked. Case & Calendar Management Scheduling: Coordinate and calendar depositions, mediations, and hearings for assigned attorneys. Deadline Tracking: Proactively maintain attorney calendars to ensure no statutory or court-ordered deadlines are missed. File Organization: Oversee the digital lifecycle of files by scanning documents into the Document Management System (DMS) and developing templates for new matters. Communication & Logistics Liaison: Act as a professional point of contact for court staff, clients, and opposing counsel. Client Relations: Answer phones, take detailed messages, and provide necessary follow-up as directed by counsel.
