Medical Assistant (MA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift options: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Obtain and document vital signs, reporting abnormal findings to the RN or provider.

• Room patients and help maintain efficient patient flow.

• Administer vaccines and IM/SubQ medications as authorized and directed.

• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.

• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

• Perform EKGs, dressing changes, basic wound care, ear lavages, and peak flow testing as ordered.

• Prepare and stock exam rooms while following infection-control procedures.

• Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record.

What You’ll Need

• Medical Assistant education, certification, or registration as required by the facility and/or state.

• Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting.

• Demonstrated experience with vital signs, phlebotomy, injections/vaccinations, EKGs, wound care, and point-of-care testing.

• Experience using electronic health records.

• Ability to recognize and promptly report abnormal findings.

• Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills.

• Availability to work one of the listed Monday–Friday shifts.
