The role requires the ability to float to other facilities. The nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. Daily tasks include monitoring patients' vital signs and administering chemotherapy. The nurse must handle various chemotherapy-related procedures safely. Care coordination among interdisciplinary support teams is essential. Responsibilities include managing central lines and ports. The nurse should be familiar with administering various medications and therapies. Knowledge of patient care protocols for oncology patients is critical. The ability to recognize and manage side effects associated with cancer treatments is required. Communication with other healthcare professionals is important for patient care. Documentation of patient information and care provided is necessary. The candidate should be skilled in using electronic charting systems. Flexibility to work weekends and cover shifts as required is expected.
