Overview Our client, a leader in cutting-edge radiation and biological detection technology, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to refine and oversee their supply chain operations for the Advanced Imaging Division. This pivotal role involves developing systems and processes that bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain, ensuring the smooth operation of shipping and delivery, and maintaining supply chain inventory integrity. Responsibilities Develop and implement a strategic supply chain approach for the Advanced Imaging Division, aligning with the company's innovative ethos. Analyze logistical data to identify and resolve any bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Establish and manage supply chain performance metrics, regularly evaluating and reporting on these metrics. Oversee logistics operations to guarantee seamless performance. Manage supply chain inventory and maintain meticulous records. Ensure optimal stock levels to facilitate uninterrupted production. Create and uphold a system for the inspection and inventory of materials and supplies. Devise cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes and address any arising issues promptly. Collaborate with various departments to foster plans for business growth and maintain compliance with legal and quality standards. Communicate with and negotiate strategic deals with suppliers and vendors to enhance profitability. Regularly review and refine supply chain and purchasing processes. Spearhead the development and implementation of a basic ERP system, providing critical input on supply availability and cost during product development phases. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements, identifying and qualifying new suppliers in collaboration with relevant departments. Maintain robust, positive relationships with suppliers and ensure customer satisfaction through timely product deliveries. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage the department's day-to-day operations, scheduling, and workflow. Mentor and develop the procurement, inventory, shipping, and receiving teams. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree in Engineering, related disciplines, or an MBA. At least three years of experience in supply chain management is essential. Experience in engineering within the semiconductor, electronics, or science-based manufacturing industries is required, with supply chain management experience in these industries being highly desirable.
