School Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking five experienced Registered Nurses to provide crucial care during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. As a School Nurse, you'll play a vital role in promoting student health and safety while collaborating with educators and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of New York
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience; prior school-based or pediatric nursing is highly preferred
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic school setting and support students with diverse health needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, direct care for students during school hours, including medication administration, first aid, and routine health monitoring
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers regarding student care plans
• Manage and document student health records according to established protocols and privacy standards
• Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide health education to students and staff as needed
• Participate in ESY program orientation, meetings, and professional development
