Opportunity Summary

In this role, you'll work directly alongside the Credit Manager , gaining hands-on visibility into how credit decisions and collections strategy support daily operations. This opportunity offers a defined path from contract to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and in writing to resolve outstanding balances and negotiate structured payment plans.
• Review account aging and monitor the order entry system daily, placing holds on new orders for delinquent accounts until payment or a payment commitment is secured.
• Compile and verify credit data to establish and update credit lines for new and existing customer accounts.
• Set up new accounts using tax certifications and credit references, and maintain accurate customer records, including ship-to addresses.
• Document payment agreements, follow up to confirm timely payment, and recommend write-offs or collection agency referrals when necessary.

Qualifications

Required

• 3-7 years of related credit, collections, or accounts receivable experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with computerized order entry systems and basic accounting and math skills.

Preferred

• Experience negotiating payment plans with commercial or B2B accounts.
• Familiarity with verifying credit references and tax certifications.
• Prior experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or order-fulfillment environment.
