Description:
We are seeking a locum OB Clientist.
The practice setting is a hospital with labor and delivery coverage.
The reason for coverage is due to a shortage of providers with a pending maternity leave.
Outpatient OBs have been covering but will transition to reduced laborist shifts this summer.
The coverage dates include specific periods in August.
Other OB/GYNs will provide coverage during locum coverage dates.
This is a teaching facility with OB residents present on labor and delivery and capable of first assisting.
The laborists currently collaborate with midwives on labor and delivery.
There are a total of 10 labor and delivery beds.
An onsite lab and ultrasound are available.
Support staff includes residents and nursing staff.
The percentage of low-risk pregnancies is 20%.
The percentage of high-risk pregnancies is 80%.
The percentage of gynecological practice is 10%.
The percentage of patients undergoing C-sections is 25%.
The nursery level is III.
The documentation system used is EPIC.
The trauma designation is level 1, with labor and delivery designated as level 4.
Required obstetrics procedures include managing low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
These include interpretation of fetal heart rate, performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds, and routine and complicated delivery procedures.
Required gynecology procedures involve various surgical interventions and minor gynecological procedures, including diagnostic and operative care.
Costs for travel-related needs will be reimbursed, including flight, hotel, and rental car.
