Client Care Specialist

OPTI STAFFING GROUP IS HIRING! Opening: Client Care Specialist Pay: $20-$23.00/hr Schedule: Monday - Friday Start Date: ASAP Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a local behavioral health organization seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Client Care Specialist to coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients. This is a patient-facing administrative position that serves as an important connection between clients, guardians, referral sources, providers, programs, and the billing department. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, highly organized, and capable of providing excellent client service while accurately handling confidential information, financial documentation, and appointment scheduling. Previous experience working with health insurance programs such as Medicaid, as well as experience in a medical or behavioral health environment, is highly preferred but not required. What You’ll Do: Coordinate the intake process for new and returning clients Manage referrals and track prospective clients through the point-of-entry process Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, guardians, referral sources, providers, programs, and billing staff Collect, review, and enter client registration, demographic, and financial information Obtain required documentation and track expiring releases of information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits online and by phone Enter accurate insurance and payer information into the electronic health record system Help clients understand insurance benefits, treatment costs, informed-consent requirements, and financial-assistance options Initiate and track financial-assistance applications when applicable Assist clients with Medicaid applications and communicate with the Alaska Division of Public Assistance regarding application statuses Schedule assessments, program intakes, ongoing appointments, and telehealth visits Scan and maintain client documentation within the electronic health record Support quality assurance, reporting, audits, accreditation, licensing, and process-improvement projects Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with federal, state, and organizational policies Assist with additional administrative and departmental responsibilities as needed What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED is required Education in health information management is preferred Experience with health insurance, Medicaid, billing, or eligibility verification is highly preferred Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, medical intake, or a related environment is highly preferred Strong administrative, customer service, and communication skills Willingness to learn insurance, billing, and intake processes Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through Ability to multitask and handle confidential client information professionally Flexibility to work daytime and evening hours when needed Valid Alaska driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation Ability to travel when required and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to pass a criminal background check Why Apply?
