Senior Safety Engineer

Job DescriptionThe Senior Safety Engineer’s main role is to facilitate the rollout and execution of safety protocols, standards, and programs at the Brady Florist Plant. This position involves managing several key areas, including training, continuous improvement, risk assessment, and the investigation of workplace accidents.Job RequirementsResponsible for knowledge, understanding and application of national, state and local safety and OSHA regulations, ensuring full compliance.Owns, coordinates, improves and supports campus wide safety programs and training.Oversees the Hazardous Area Management programDevelops, implements and maintains risk management programs. Examples include but are not limited to; Management of Change (MOC), Chemical Safety, Hazard Communication, Electrical Safety, LOTO, Confined Space, Hazardous Waste, Guarding, Safety Controls, Contractor Safety, Emergency Response, Ergonomics, Static Control, Safe Work Rules, etc.Presents to and/or trains the organization on relevant safety topicsResponsible for maintaining clear and accurate safety records and documentation.Conducts and coordinates accident investigations and effective root cause analysisRoutinely reviews, improves, approves and maintain updated safety procedures.Audits environmental and safety programs internally and occasionally across sites.Engages all shifts and communicates routinelyLeads emergency response teamParticipates in reviewing and approving safe design for new equipment expenditures.Provides cross support for Environmental and Industrial Hygiene engineering.Performs other duties as assigned.Job DetailsJob Type: Full-timeCategory: Operations & Supply ChainSalaried: Salaried
