Develop and update, as needed, the curriculum for the content program. Prepare orders for the purchase of supplies, tools, equipment, and instructional materials necessary to support the learning activities of the program. Maintain inventory and repair records, and ensure the safe and proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment. Maintain an Advisory Board and keep records of meeting notices, agendas, and minutes. Remain informed of new trends, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in the content area. Actively participate in all professional development activities as required by Kansas City Public Schools. Integrate Career & Technical Student Organization (C.T.S.O.) leadership activities into the area of content. Other job-related duties as assigned by the building leadership. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and at least 4,000 hours of department‑approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten (10) years, OR 60 Credit Hours or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and at least 5,000 hours of department‑approved closely related occupational experience within the past ten (10) years. Valid certificates completed as applicable (CPR; culinary, business, safety, etc.). Hold or be eligible for a MissouriCTE-Water/Waste Water Tech Certification. Previous experience as a classroom teacher. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience in an urban setting.
